The Watches of Switzerland

The Commission
The commission was to photograph the Rolex showroom in Glasgow, documenting the design and craftsmanship of a carefully considered retail interior. The brief encompassed the building’s street-facing façade, principal retail spaces and private consultation areas, capturing the relationship between architectural finishes, bespoke displays and lighting.
The Photography
The photography moves from the showroom’s exterior into a series of considered architectural views, exploring the relationship between space, material and light. Wider compositions establish the layout and progression between spaces, while closer studies reveal the textured screening, illuminated displays and carefully integrated detailing. Particular attention was given to the contrast between the brighter retail areas and the warmer, timber-lined consultation spaces, creating a cohesive record of the completed interior.
