Considered from capture to completion

Each image is developed in dialogue with the client, balancing architectural accuracy, commercial usefulness and a natural final result. The aim is always to present the project clearly and convincingly, without allowing the retouching to become the subject of the image.

Architectural Retouching & Post-Production

Before / After

These examples show more substantial post-production undertaken in response to specific site conditions and client requirements. Most commissioned images require a lighter level of refinement within the standard editing process.

Approach

Post-production is used to resolve distractions, temporary site issues and details that interrupt the architectural reading of the project. The aim is to bring the final image closer to how the completed work is intended to be understood, without altering its underlying character.

Retouching is considered on an image-by-image basis and guided by the client’s priorities. This may include removing minor construction remnants, tidying unfinished landscaping, correcting temporary visual inconsistencies or refining details that interrupt the architectural reading of the project.

The work is deliberately controlled. Materials, proportions, weathering and context remain believable, and any intervention is intended to feel natural within the wider image rather than visibly retouched.

Where more substantial adjustments are proposed, these are discussed with the client so that the final set remains accurate, useful and aligned with the way the project should be presented.

Editing Included Within a Commission

Standard editing is included within every commission and covers the careful refinement needed to produce a coherent, finished set. This includes the adjustments normally required to present the project clearly, naturally and consistently.

Included as standard:

  • Colour, contrast and tonal refinement

  • Perspective correction

  • Local balancing of light and shadow

  • Removal of small temporary distractions

  • Minor agreed refinements within the original scope

Additional fees may apply for:

  • Significant or complex object removal

  • Reconstruction of incomplete architectural elements

  • Substantial landscaping alterations

  • Complex compositing

  • Extensive client-led revisions after the agreed editing stage

Any additional work is discussed and agreed in advance.
