Roupell Street, London

Andrew Paine Architecture

Dining room framed by dark glazed doors beneath a glazed roof at Roupell Street, London

The Commission

The brief was to photograph the side return extension, focusing on how the new space connects with the existing house. A key feature of the design is the glazed floor, which allows natural light to reach the basement below and creates a visual connection between the two levels.

The Photography

The photography explores the relationship between the original building and the contemporary intervention, paying particular attention to the materials, the movement of light and the flow between spaces.
