Mappin & Webb in the heart of Glasgow

A little later than I was expecting to post this one but another shoot in Scotland, this is the Mappin & Webb store in the Argyll Arcade on Buchanan Street in the centre of Glasgow.

Luckily, this shoot was scheduled to co-inside with the exterior of the Rolex Boutique in Glasgow so I was able to keep the travelling down slightly.

The store itself is amazing, it is split over two floors with the majority of pieces on the ground floor, with a wonderful grand staircase leading to a large showroom and with a large VIP seating area to have more private discussions with clients.

The shoot went well, being an older building the architecture did create some photographic issues for me such as the support pillar in front of the main entrance, as well as the narrow walkway in the arcade limited the angles I could choose to shoot from, but the building is beautiful and Mappin & Webb did a truly fantastic job fitting out the store.

I thoroughly enjoyed shooting this grand Mappin & Webb store, if get the chance to visit the Mappin and Webb store in Glasgow, do have a look at all the amazing photographs they have beautifully arranged throughout the store as there is a real story of the history of the company which shows their commitment to their profession and customers.
