A New Direction For James Morris Photography
This is the first post for what will become the next chapter in my freelance photography career.
I have taken the difficult decision to cease offering still life & product photography, instead, I'll be focusing on growing and continuing to explore architecture and interior photography, which was a secondary service that I have been offering since late 2014. I have taken this decision considering everything that has happened during this year, from the more widespread issues like the global pandemic to personal changes in my life.
The key reason for why now, is essentially I have for some time been more drawn to the work I was doing in architecture and interiors, with all the horror and misery the pandemic has caused one little silver lining it has somewhat offered is a chance to reflect during the forced lockdown, to see more clearly what is most important in ones own life. It was during this time that I realised how much more important and inspiring architectural photography was to me, how much more of my freelance business it had become and how much more sense it made to concentrate and give it my all to architectural & interior photography.
Therefore, due to this change in direction, I have taken the time during lockdown to create this new website and rebranded to better promote and showcase my architectural & interior photography.
There will be a transition period, where the old www.jmp-studio.com site will remain life and I'll still offer select still life photography to existing clients and any pre-booked still life photography shoots will go ahead as planned.
I want to say a big thank you to all my clients over the past 8 years, all the work we have created together has been a wonderful experience, I look forward to this next chapter and working with you on new projects, I'm looking forward to the new challenges ahead and can't wait to get started.
